A private journey along Norway's wild Atlantic coast — from the City of Roses, Molde, to the historic fishing village of Bud and the world-famous Atlantic Road, running directly along the edge of the open sea. All at your own pace, by private car.

Molde is home to Moldejazz, the world's oldest continuously running jazz festival, founded in 1961. Molde FK is one of Norway's most successful football clubs, with five league championships and six Norwegian Cup titles. The name "City of Roses" reflects Molde's mild climate and long tradition of flower gardens.

Bud is a historic fishing village that was once an important trading place between Bergen and Trondheim. During the Second World War, German forces fortified Bud with Ergan Kystfort as part of the Atlantic Wall — the vast coastal defence system stretching from Norway to the Spanish border.

The Atlantic Road was created in some of Norway's harshest coastal conditions, surviving 12 hurricane-force storms during construction. It links a chain of islands with eight bridges, running directly along the edge of the open Atlantic — surrounded by powerful winds and breaking waves.
