A private journey into Norway's glacier country — the emerald-water valley of Oldedalen, the famous glacier arm of Briksdalsbreen, and the Loen Skylift rising to Mount Hoven, where the fjord and the high mountains meet. All at your own pace, by private car.

Oldedalen is a dramatic glacier-carved valley of steep mountain walls, waterfalls and the striking emerald-green waters of Oldevatnet, coloured by fine glacial sediment carried down from the surrounding arms of Jostedalsbreen — mainland Europe's largest glacier.

One of the best-known glacier arms of Jostedalsbreen, Briksdalsbreen has become one of the clearest visible examples of how a warming climate is reshaping glacier landscapes.

The journey continues aboard the Loen Skylift, rising from the fjord to Mount Hoven (1,011 m), where the fjord and the mountain world come together. One of the world's steepest aerial cable cars climbs almost 1,000 vertical metres in just a few minutes, reaching panoramic views. Hoven is also renowned for Norway's toughest via ferrata, Norway's longest winter sled run, and as a spectacular launch site for paragliders, BASE jumpers and wingsuit pilots.
